Making IT work for you
Local businesses and entrepreneurs will have the chance to find out about best practice in Information Technology and source expert advice and services, at a free IT showcase event being hosted in Loughborough next week.
A number of specialist IT companies will team up to showcase their expertise at the Make IT Work event, which takes place on Tuesday 7 June, 1pm – 6pm at Loughborough Innovation Centre on the Loughborough University campus.
The free exhibition will cover a wide range of specialist IT areas, including email security, firewalls and virus protection; software for Customer Relations Management (CRM), time and performance management; website design; computer hardware; web portals; identity management; and funding for training opportunities.
“The event is a fantastic opportunity for local companies to discuss their IT requirements and see how they could benefit from the range of services on offer, “ says Tim Bacon of Loughborough Innovation Centre. ”We would encourage all local businesses to come along.”
The event incorporates the monthly Loughborough Enterprise Club presentation at 4pm, at which Deryck Houghton of Freeth Cartwright LLP will be speaking about pertinent legal issues within IT. Additional guest speakers will give presentations on topical issues, including funding for training, throughout the afternoon.
The event is sponsored by Leicester Shire Economic Partnership (LSEP) and EMIN, the East Midlands Incubation Network, and is supported by EMITA, the East Midlands I.T. Association.
