Football fun for kids at Loughborough University soccer camp
With the Champions League success of Liverpool FC still clear in the mind, children from across Loughborough were seeking to emulate their football heroes whilst taking part in Loughborough University’s ever popular soccer school.
The four-day soccer school, which took place during the half-term holiday, provided kids with top-class coaching. There was also the opportunity to take part in a ‘World Cup’ competition and win trophies and medals. All participants received a certificate and a free gift on completing the course.
More than 50 youngsters, aged between 5 and 12 took part in the camp, which was held on the University campus.
Loughborough University’s Director of Football, Malcolm Shotton, comments: “The aim of the camp was to develop skills, confidence and knowledge of football but the emphasis was very firmly on being active and having fun.”
The Soccer Schools are sponsored by Loughborough Building Society and are run in association with Charnwood Borough Council.
